This is what we consider justice? Death for the theft of a bike? Shouldn’t we rethink this? Oh, I’m sure it must feel good to see vengeance doled out in such summary fashion. Yes, it appeals to a devil inside us, but justice is not of this nature. We have laws for a reason; remember this. This is not law. It is murder. We should be ashamed to applaud this.

I have to believe that if you are going to plow your car into another human or two (and possibly commit a crime in the process) most people would probably have a good reason or at least think they did. Looking carefully at the clips a few times, it is clear that the thieves introduced deadly force into the equation for the first four. So clip one, the first part of two, and clip three are straight up self defense. The driver was being threatened at gun point and responded with deadly force in kind. The second half of clip two, clip four and possibly five involve coming to the defense of someone else, which is still a legitimate use of deadly force in most places, but since you aren’t directly involved, serious caution is in order. In the second half of clip two and clip four, the thieves’ guns are clearly visible to the drivers. Clip five is the most dubious. Since the action happens on the opposite side of the street you can’t tell if the driver sees a gun or not. It would be covering the victims on the side of the motorcycle away from the camera.
Guns are a means of lethal force that people immediately recognize. Using a car as a lethal weapon in your own defense or in the defense of others is legitimately self defense – not murder.
I guess those sorry bastards will have to start thinking long and hard before they perpetrate again. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes! LOL
