NBA Ratings Crash After Going Woke
Last season was an all time ratings low for the NBA. Until this season. Which is even worse. Coming into the 2020-21 season, NBA games on ABC — the league’s most important partner — were down 45% since 2011-12. On cable, it’s only slightly less damning.
To stick with more recent trends, the past two NBA Finals crashed to double-digit declines, with the most recent falling down 51% to an all-time record low. Last season’s NBA on ABC games fit that same category, recording the lowest average (2.95 million) on record. According to The Athletic’s Ethan Strauss, that record will break once again this season.
“Eventually, it will be official: The NBA again lost viewership on its ABC games, down from last season’s all-time low,” Strauss writes. “Based on how this average drops as the season moves along (it starts off highest after the Christmas games bonanza), we can safely project that the ABC games will finish at a mark that’s lower than last season.”

Used to always watch Pro Sports but politics and systemic racism in where 80% are black who play but those same people say it isn’t but want affirmative action based on race not qualifications prove it is. The NBA is no longer available to “antenna” tv viewers. The NBA has forgotten what got them to where they are today. The NBA answers to NIKE , the China based apparel Company who pay players sponsorship money & products. It is pathetic that locals can’t see their own city’s team in local tv. As for the MLB, I’ve been a Yankees fan for over five decades. But I have not watched a moment of MLB this year, nor have I clicked a single link anywhere pointing to anything related to the MLB.

Pro Sports is a luxury. It is not a necessity. When that luxury spits in your face and calls you a racist you stop spending money on that luxury. Not everyone likes to be abused and pro sports is abusing its primary customer base.

I have been watching a lot of mens college baseball and womans college softball, and I have been 100% entertained. These young kids are amazing athletes, the games are fast paced and fun and they play for the love of the sport, not the endorsements. Definitely worth the watch.
Wait until they go pro they’ll be kneeling too.
Never understood the obsession that some people have with “Pro” sports. It puts no food on My table, puts no money in My pocket, does nothing to enhance My life in any way shape or form. Have seen as many arguments and disagreements over “Pro” sports as I have seen about politics. A huge waste of time, money and energy.
