Kane, I really appreciate the old clips that you post. It’s very valuable to look back and refresh my memory of how much healthier and much better our society used to be. Back when everyone knew what normal sexuality was and people didn’t try to justify and celebrate unnatural anomalys.

That was damn funny. Name me a late night as good as Carson or Letterman….. til Letterman lost his mind.
Big bob
That was awesome. When humor wasn’t the woke trash of today

Tried posting a picture of Joe why on date with Raquel Welch.

Love Johnny channeling Howard Cosell at the end of the first segment.
More to this
Great video. Carson was the best and Namath was so personable. No one today would give a decent interview like that over 2 minutes, let alone 11. They don’t listen like Johnny and he never interrupted. He let the full measure of the man or woman be revealed. The best of times.

PURE CLASS…BOTH FELLAS

Be still my heart……..”Broadway Joe”

Johnny Carson was the best. This was a good interview but the best Carsons were with Rodney Dangerfield and Buddy Hackett. Great entertainers.
JeffD_NC
Hackett could tell the most ribald R-rated joke on a nationally televised broadcast & it would pass the censors. Truly, comedic genius
Deplorable One
Joe was one smooth cat.. great guy!

Joe looks and sounds a bit like John Travolta – weird.

Yes, the black hair and blue eyes
Ghost
Namath pulled that off so easily at the end ‘cuz he’d done that before at many parties, whaddyabet?
Ghost
first QB to throw over 4,000 yards passing and in14-game season, 1967.
In my Top Ten Namath Memories, none are from SBIII.
5) TD winning drive vs OAK to win AFL, 12/68
4) left hand pushing Mathis trying to get into end zone, playoff game vs KC 12/69 – never saw another QB do that.
The Frustration … ‘Get In There’!
3) shoot-out with Johnny Unitas, 1972
“He did it Again … He did it AGAIN!” – Curt Gowdy
still see Joe running downfield to slap Caster’s hand.
2) first game back, comeback that failed, vs. SF, 11/71
no one who was there can ever forget that day.
1) throwing 60-yard TD strike vs Denver, 1969
DT Dave Costa had just laid him out, 10-minutes writhing in pain on field, in those days no mandatory rule to come out of game for minimum one play. Could have handed off to Snell next play but NO! deep drop and in your face downfield … TD. Pure Guts. (Charlie Jones on the play-by-play call)
Gee, I miss those days. Back when late night TV was actually worth watching.
Right
AND when watching the NFL was!
Daniel W Plummer
When men were men and women were women. Broadway Joe defected Carson mention of gay quarterbacks in a funny subliminal way. But nowadays there would be a mountain made out of a molehill by the Karens against Carson.

Lost my First Bet with my 6th grade school teacher on Super Bowl III. I was feeling down from the ending of the Lombardi Packers Era, so I latched onto my next best childhood favorite Baltimore Colts. Mr. Hansen was extolling the virtues of the NY Jets and Joe Namath. I was like, “Joe Who??? Johnny Unitas wears High-Top Spikes — He’s a Real Man…”
Losing hurts, but Namath was Great — Lit It Up!
Ugly kid bill
Joe was famous for his white shoes back then.
Willie TD
Joe was the BEST!!!!

Love ole’ Joe he had swagger back in the day

I remember seeing this when it happened. Like most nights with Carson, it was hilarious!
