We never landed on the moon. Do a little checking. Watch “A funny thing happened on the way to the moon”, not the one labeled by MIT but by Bart Sibrel. Don’t believe your own eyes, try believing they don’t know how to get back after 6 absolute flawless missions. Think usa gov would never lie to you, how many people are dropping dead daily from vaccine blood clots?

Well done Buzz Aldrin! 93 and still doing great and courageous deeds.

The people who say we didn’t land are idiots, I remember seeing that rocket take off when I was 7. They went there just like the rest of the Apollo’s. Just because so many people are so weak they can’t Imagine having the focus or courage to accomplish such an awesome feat, doesn’t mean it didn’t happen.

The magnetic shield you mention is called the Van Allen radiation belt. It keeps us Earthlings safe so we don’t have to wear spacesuits. This was taken into account by the scientists that designed those suits. They planned for whatever dangerous radiation and atomic particles the astronauts may encounter. That’s why the astronauts of Apollo 11 proved their bravery. They trusted their thousands of Earthling team members.

I’ll never forget my mom waking me up early in the morning and sitting me in front of the television to watch the moon landing. As a sleep in the eyes, eight year old kid, I didn’t know the man in the moon, from the man about to walk on the moon. She told me that what I was about to see was a moment that will make history. She was right. At that point I realized that very smart and brave men got us there! I grew up fascinated by science and studying it. It really did affect the direction of my life. My career as an engineer was both lucrative and never felt like work.

Thanks Mom!!!

Freddie Fudpucker
Freddie Fudpucker

I should mention my gratitude to the Apollo 11 astronauts that accomplished this mission. If you think about the huge balls it took to land on a completely foreign world (Aldrin had to land the LEM manually because the computer systems malfunctioned. The landing site was not as NASA had planned). Michael Collins gets little credit because he wasn’t one of the crew that walked on the moon but he was an essential member of the mission because of his precise piloting the Command Service Module with the LEM to bring them back home. Neil Armstrong’s contribution goes unchallenged. To be the first to step out into such a foreign environment, with complete confidence that his space suit would keep him safe was the ultimate faith in his teammates.

There were thousands on the Apollo 11 team that figured this all out, but without the three men with the guts to pioneer, it never would’ve happened.

If these im-posters are not just gov’t bots and trolls, I pity them and their blindness. Thank God that those of us who went through the whole arc of sputnik to mercury, gemini, and apollo, got to witness it all. We were blessed to live through it!

Yeah, we all get it. Big tech sensors us and lies through their teeth. The forth branch of government is as dishonest and tyranical as ever in history. The Federal government is only as good as the venal power-hungry lying scoundrels who steal the elections and run the unrepresentative government. No doubt that the FDA has been bought-and-paid-for, Pfizer is malicious, John Kerry is a rich evil hypocritical sloth, vaccines turned out NOT to work at all, and RINOs and lying Democrat tyrants are indeed worse than ever.

However, here’s some real news for you brainless moon-shot deniers: Every damn thing in life is not fake!

Take for example that beautiful right punch by good ole Buzz Aldrin and the look on the Bible abusing moon-shot denying fool that Buzz so nicely clocked! Hey buddy, that was real! And all of you moon-shot denying fools could use a little wake-up call just like Buzz delivered to that dude’s face!

Yes we lived it for years. Endless news and documentary coverage. It permeated all aspects of our lives. Thousands worked in the Space Programs and we knew many of them personally if we happened to live in California, Texas, Alabama, or Florida. We saw the level of technology in our lives before the space program and the great leap in technology in our daily lives after the space program. Those Moon-Landing-Deniers who were either not alive or were too young to be aware when it happened have No Idea how Idiotic they sound to those of us who lived through that era.

NASA had a research lab in Northeast Ohio as well. Later named after John Glenn. It was an effort across the country (including “fly over” country as we’re often referred to today. The brains and wisdom is NOT exclusive to the coasts!

Bugsarepeopletoo347
Bugsarepeopletoo347

Wrong. NASA did NOT tell us in 2023 that we can’t go further than low earth orbit. In November 2022 NASA launched the first Artemis mission where the new SLS Heavy Lift Rocket with 8.8 million tons of thrust launched an Orion spacecraft into orbit around the Moon in preparation for a human return to the Moon.

[Of course you may say that was faked too. And airplanes are fake too. Created by computers. When you drive by airports they are holographic projections. When you fly to another City they actually drug you and then hypnotize you and load you onto a Greyhound bus. The Old-Timers who talk about flying in the Old Days are just a bunch of liars.]

The Saturn V rockets that launched the Apollo missions were the most powerful rockets ever made with 7.6 million pounds of thrust.

All of the designers and engineers (Braun et al) who knew how to build them are gone, so for a time the capability to return to the Moon was also gone.

We have just recently entered a new era with NASA’s Artemis Program and the new Space Launch System (SLS) rocket, which has 8.8 million pounds of thrust, and the ability to visit the Moon has returned. Just this last November the SLS rocket launched an Orion spacecraft into a lunar orbit in preparation for more human missions to the Moon.

BTW, if you ever visit the Johnson Space Center in Houston, they have a Saturn V rocket booster laid on its side and you can walk around it. It’s not only massive but it’s an amazing piece of technology, considering it was conceived by folks who didn’t have the computer power or knowledge we have now. This rocket was as massive as the ability of those who made it possible!!!

As an engineer, I was awed by the size of those five engines and the enormous energy they controlled to get our three men into space and on to the moon.

I thank God for giving us the ability to accomplish this. He chose our country to accomplish this task because we had the knowledge and faith that we could accomplish it.

Just revealed:
Deep State, realizing that cfp is a popular public forum (ever growing) that does accurately report on and communicate the truth about evil and incompetent governnent actions (actual failed COVID shot, DoJfbi malfeasance, Democrat corruption, etc.) comes up with a plan to try and discredit the CFP community:

They launch an incessant troll army , to post insane moon landing denial garbage . . . in an attempt to make the community look like a forum of imbeciles who deny all reality.

[the above is food for thought, for those who insist that EVERYTHING, is a hoax/conspiracy]

Note to intelligent and sincere regulars: taking the moon landing deniers seriously , and attempting to show them that their’s is a (repeatedly) debunked troll, is a futile exercise.

You could put these people on an Apollo spacecraft, send them to the moon, and bring them back . . . and upon return they’ll say they were drugged and were in a simulator – because they’re trolls.

Nothing blind about our trust. The government didn’t just pop out one day and announce we landed on the Moon. Those of us alive at the time lived through this process with thousands of employees and subcontractors of the Aerospace industry working for years, with in-depth news and documentary coverage, and nations and independent organizations all around the globe watching and tracking our progress. We saw the advances in technology coming out of this process. Just because the government has about lied about some things doesn’t mean everything is a lie. That is bad logic. The proof is so overwhelming and all the ridiculous denier claims are so easily debunked that Moon Landing Deniers look absolutely idiotic to those of us who lived through that era.

I believe the moon landings did happen. The Astronauts did also come to Arco Idaho to see the Craters of the Moon National Monument. It was thought Craters of the Moon could possibly be like the moon surface and so did some training there. I got to meet and walk with them as a young teen after they landed at the Arco airport in I believe it was a militaty DC-3. The Arco airport was too short for other larger aircraft. I mostly remember walking behind Allen Shepard while my brother at his left side spoke with him and Allen was not very tall, so typical of fighter pilots. After the missions collecting rock samples, the Moon Rocks were displayed in Arco during could have been 4th of July or Atomic days celebration and I did see them in glass cases. I thought it interesting that they should come to the GEM State of Idaho. I don’t trust the US government with a whole lot of things and interestingly many years later, the Moon Rocks could not be found and then some were eventually reported to be in private collections. Flight data was also reported lost with other things and so would have to re-engineer to go to the moon again. Back about 7 years ago, I got to meet one of the NASA engineers by chance he had a motorcycle front flat tire along the Salmon River of Idaho. He designed and tested an explosive guilotine used to instantly cut and seperate all of the Lunar Module support power, cooling, air and such from it’s base that remained on the moon. Timing, complete cut, and everything was critical and if any of it failed, it would have been death for our Astronauts on the moon. I miss those space race days. Mercury, Gemini, Apollo.

Freddie Fudpucker
Freddie Fudpucker

Why are you getting downvoted? I’m as suspicious as you are about TODAY’S government, but I do believe in what I saw with my own eyes and mostly what I’ve learned about the science behind it. There’s been many doubters over the years, many theories proposed by adversarial governments but none of those stand up to scrutiny.

Same reason you don’t see stars in the daytime. So why would you see stars in the Moon’s sky during the Moon’s daytime? BTW, the Moon’s sky is black because the Moon does NOT have an atmosphere, whereas the Earth’s atmosphere is 78% nitrogen and 16% oxygen which filters our most of the red light, making our daytime sky blue. Hope that answers your question satisfactorily.

It’s astonishing the number of commenters here doubting the video broadcast from the moon. In 1960, a ham radio operator on the west coast and the east coast communicated by bouncing a signal off the moon using primitive home brew equipment. Around the same time, slow scan imaging (low resolution) was developed which used a fraction of the bandwidth of conventional TV. The concepts developed rapidly when the federal government poured millions of dollars into the space program. Here is a clicker for anyone interested in knowledge of radio communication of the day. popsci do t com/how-nasa-broadcast-neil-armstrong-live-from-moon/

Houston, We Erased The Apollo 11 Tapes

After NPR reported the missing tapes in 2006, NASA began a massive search to find the original tapes from the lunar camera.

Enlarge this image
Stan Lebar worked at the Westinghouse Electric Corporation and led the team that designed and built the lunar cameras used on the Apollo 11 mission.
NASA
A Surprise Discovery

Just as Stan Lebar and Dick Nafzger concluded that the 1-inch magnetic tapes with the original Apollo 11 footage had probably been destroyed, a surprise discovery gave them renewed hope.

Some old documents revealed that, unbeknownst to Lebar and Nafzger, the lunar camera’s signals had also been recorded on a couple of 2-inch tapes by an experimental program run by the Applied Physics Laboratory near Baltimore.

“This was like a miracle out of nowhere,” recalls Lebar. “That opened up a whole new search for us with the possibility that maybe this was the savior that we were looking for.”

They tracked down a former APL employee who confirmed that he’d recorded the moonwalk in 1969 and remembered having those tapes at APL.

Lebar and Nafzger scrounged up a vintage device that could play these tapes, in case they were found. And because they knew such old tapes would have to be “baked” to deal with something called sticky-shed syndrome, Nafzger says they bought a vegetable dehydrator that could do the job.

The archivist at APL did find some 2-inch tapes in the right format from that time frame that had no labels.

But when Nafzger and Lebar played the tapes, they were blank. Were those the moonwalk tapes? They have no way to know — and those 2-inch tapes could still be out there, somewhere.

“It could be anything, including an employee having them in his house,” says Nafzger. At one point, following a tip, he and Lebar even considered going to a landfill where 2-inch tapes might have been dumped.

Nafzger says if anyone has any clue about their whereabouts, he’d love to get a phone call, even if it’s at “3 a.m., you name it,” jokes Nafzger. “We’ll be there and buy them a beer.”
An exhaustive, three-year search for some tapes that contained the original footage of the Apollo 11 moonwalk has concluded that they were probably destroyed during a period when NASA was erasing old magnetic tapes and reusing them to record satellite data.

“We’re all saddened that they’re not there. We all wish we had 20-20 hindsight,” says Dick Nafzger, a TV specialist at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Maryland, who helped lead the search team.

“I don’t think anyone in the NASA organization did anything wrong,” Nafzger says. “I think it slipped through the cracks, and nobody’s happy about it.”

NASA has, however, offered up a consolation prize for the 40th anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission — the agency has taken the best available broadcast television footage and contracted with a digital restoration firm to enhance it, so that the public can see the first moonwalk in more detail than ever before.
But the lost tapes mean that the world will probably never again see the original images beamed back to Earth by the lunar camera that is now resting on the moon’s dusty Sea of Tranquility, right where Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin left it.

If amature HAM radio operators can bounce a signal off the moon and have it return to earth out of their little backyard radio shack, I’m sure NASA could send one from the moon to earth. Amazing where you can communicate with 1 watt of TX transmit power and good clean near 100% modulation coming back over the RX recieve end.

Here in the northwest mountains there are cell companies bouncing signals off mountain sides to get into the back woods country so as not to have to build towers. Highway metal gaurdrails make great signal reflectors but the bad part is you can not stop on the highway to use them. You do notice that the recieve increases in passing by them. Also, the more you can bounce a signal between reflectors, the more it naturally amplifies and without additional power applied to it. The same happens on recieve. The old saying is, 90% of a radio is the antenna.

Coffeedrinker
