I don’t understand the Glock hate. Yes I love my 1911 – but I would never carry it. Too big, to heavy, not enough rounds.
Glock paved the way for stuff like the Sig P365 and clones like the PSA Dagger. Plastic guns are light and need little maintenance. If you carry every day, it’s nice to have a gun that doesn’t rust every time you wear it on a hot day.
Sometimes, all you need is a reliable appliance.
My cousin works at the Glock factory in Austria. $5 in the frame and $24 in the slide plus about $75 in misc wages. I wish I had invented the glock, what a money maker!
Not a Glock fan, I’m a COLT fan, 45 puts them DOWN!!
So does .22lr, with the important part being accuracy if you wanna “put ‘em down.” A pistol holds more 9mm than .45acp, and given the fact that smaller people generally handle the 9mm recoil and grip size better, there is a greater opportunity to refine shooting accuracy through better control…and have plenty of follow up shots. Better control and fundamentals equals more effective hits. That means more women becoming responsible armed citizens. Couple that with better bullets and modern rust-resistant, reliable tupperware gun designs, and one could say the 9mm vs .45acp is not much of an argument anymore. Should everyone own a 1911 as a nod to preserving history? Probably so…but have changed…let it go boomer.
While 9mm is preferable for weaker people and actually hitting people is far more important than bullet size, most grown adult males can handle both calibers. Modern magazines easily reach into ridiculous sizes. Need more rounds? You can find 20, 30, even 40 rounders out there for both. Round count is not a problem. Technological advances can be equally applied to both rounds but .45 will always be bigger and will always do more damage when you compare similar rounds. The argument can now come down to a proper one of what is the right tool for the job. If you want something with better stopping power or superior suppressed characteristics and you’re willing to trade some accuracy, go .45. If you need accuracy, lighter weight, or better penetration, go 9mm.
I have been a gunsmith for over 40 years. 9mm is not even in the same ballpark as .45 for accuracy, which is why the FBI hostage rescue team is mandated to use a Springfield professional only, or similar 1911 models like the ones I make., When having to potentially take a shot at an exposed eye. The larger surface area of the .45 gives it up to 75 percent more lands and grooves contact which means 75 percent more accuracy. I have personally tested hundreds of loads in both 9mm and .45 at 100 meters, and further, using a Hansen rest. 45 is nearly twice as accurate. 9mm is definitely the king of penetration between the two, and the better soldier round, as one can carry more ammo.
Keep them coming. If you don’t own a firearm then you should. Exercise your 2A… And if you are a law abiding citizen, I hope the process for buying a gun in your state opens your eyes to the harassment that your state exercises against gun owners.
Love my Taurus GX4.
Taurus has come a LONG way for sure.
Yay another clone polymer firearm. Yawn.
3rd gen PSA Dagger is great.
It’s a trick to make you say something and then the internet gestapo will put you on a watch list for further discrimination and credit scores
You’re already on a list. You see that star on your driver’s license?
The star just means Real ID. So what?
Quit being such a pussy.
Nice pistol, it might just be the firearm that a single Mom working two jobs that lives in a ‘hood can afford to protect her and her kids. Seems very reliable and the price is great. I teach LTC in Texas and we have seen a increase in single Ladies and people of color attending our classes as they know the houston area is become turdsville under dem rule.
The more turds there are, the chitier the area gets
Yup. Last I checked women are now the largest demographic purchasers of firearms (especially single black mothers). I’ve seen more and more women at the ranges and taking courses in the last 5 years. My own GF is growing her collection starting with the M&P 2.0, CZ P10M, and her most recent Walther PDP F series (all compact 9mm) and she now shoots better than I do!
The dagger upper is on sale at PSA for $200 , already pre MOS they look real nice glad to see one in action.
The real Hickok would not miss so much
Except he didn’t know not to sit with his back to the door.
Yeah, but Hickock 45 hasn’t negligently shot his own Deputy.
R.I.P. Deputy Mike Williams.
Are you sure? I thought he shot the sheriff, not the deputy. TBF Sheriff Johnson always hated him.
I’ve said it once, and I’ll say it again……Ol’ Hiccup 45 is a bucket mouth full of hot air!
Tito You said nothing but a bucket of hot air.
Looks like you suk!!!
This is news? I’m a gun lover, but come on.
I find it quite newsworthy.
Good shot, too.
Not new. A lot of people don’t keep up with new developments though.
